  The Adult ESL class at CIA enthusiastically performed Jingle Bells for the staff and GED class. The performance was a culmination of two weeks for preparation that consisted of: learning the lyrics and definition of words, practicing pronunciation and enunciation, and supporting autonomy by having them make all the decisions regarding their performance.<br>These important experiences provide our students opportunities to gain insights into the American/New York culture, gain confidence with their English skills - not just speaking, but singing in English and, finally, feeling a part of their new hometown...New York.
