good evening and welcome to adult education School 6 end of year celebration this is assistant principal Mary Gibbons please rise and join me as we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all during these last few months of remote learning school 6 has provided our ESL with instruction that included an online program called Crossroads Cafe activities that a line to each episode welcome ESL teacher Eric pakulla as he performs his rendition of the crossroads Cafe scene ladies and gentlemen the principle of adult education School 6 mrs. Tiffany Taylor Oaks graduates and participant honorees I am excited to greet you today and to honor the graduates and participants honor of achievement this school year with all that you have endured this year from the global pandemic and now the civil unrest. systematic Injustice you have persevered your commitment courage and discipline has shown to be a true Testament to your achievements and we are very proud of you as you continue your journey weather in education Forest please know that school fix will always be here to support you we celebrate you we congratulate you we honor you congratulation participants and graduates and now a word from our superintendent mr. Robert swag graduating class virtual graduation is probably Bittersweet for a lot of you but we are here today your teachers use School leader is people from our district including me to acknowledge your accomplishments to celebrate this is a different kind of school year it is one that does not take away from all that you have achieved school might have ended remotely but in some ways is a society as a city we go the tragedies that we have suffered through this pandemic and through the systemic racism evident throughout our country we have opportunities to learn we have opportunities to better as a society as a city and as a country and we rest upon your shoulder out new graduates how graduates of 2022 help us leave the way to help us as a society to be passionate people to come together and understand one another to not defined outsells by our differences by a similarity and so as you prepare for your future whether it's the World of Warcraft starting car we look to you we look to you to lead us and we celebrate you we celebrate All you have achieved all you have accomplished it brought you to this wonderful day and we wish you only happiness success and peace congratulations graduating class of 2020 and God bless thank you ESL teacher mrs.
